It is quite difficult to find a good English-Chinese dictionary for people who are learning Chinese. Most of these dictionaries are written for native speakers of Chinese learning English. Often these dictionaries don't indicate the pronunciation of characters at all. However, this dictionary is designed specifically for English-speaking learners of Chinese.

This dictionary shows both characters and pinyin for all its entries. It uses simplified characters, but there is a table of simplified and traditional characters in the appendices. Other useful appendices include a list of countries and their capitals and a list of measure words.

Entries include many standard phrases and example sentences. A sample of the text can be seen below.
