PageOne bookshop in Taipei 101 also has a good selection. Otherwise try the various branches of Caves Books  (敦煌書局) and Eslite (誠品書店) around the island.

hey thanks for the reading list. Notice the authors are only foriegners, not Taiwanese? many Taiwanese scholars were killed in White Terror Period (228 incident).  I am on the same page as you trying to learn Taiwan's history, sad to say the least, and there's so much to learn and so much truth and facts to recover...
