National Museum of History 國立歷史博物館
The National Museum of History (國立歷史博物館) displays a range of historical artifacts from Taiwan and China as well as hosting special exhibitions featuring works from Taiwan and overseas. The museum is not as large as the National Palace Museum or Taipei Fine Arts Museum, but it still contains a lot of interesting items.
The museum is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Tuesday to Sunday. Entry costs NT$30 (half price for concession), although the special exhibitions require purchase of a separate ticket. It is located on the south side of the Taipei Botanical Gardens at 49 Nanhai Road, Taipei City (台北市南海路49號). You can get there by taking the MRT to Xiao Nanmen Station and then walking there via the gardens. You can also walk there from Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall MRT Station.
