Longshan Temple (龍山寺) in the heart of Taipei's Wanhua District is one of Taipei's most famous and busiest temple. The temple was established in 1738, although it has been reconstructed and renovated several times. It was even bombed by the Americans in 1945.
The temple is always busy with worshippers. Spend some time watching the crowds; they show how deeply religious many Taiwanese people are.
The temple is easily reached by taking the MRT to the Longshan Temple Station.
