Elephant Mountain is just a stone's throw from Taipei 101 and the Xinyi District. The short hike to the top affords some outstanding views of Taipei City and unlike going to the
top of Taipei 101 it's free. To get there walk along Lane 150, Section 5 Xinyi Road (信義路五段150巷) at the end of the lane you will find the beginning of the hiking trail.

This peak is very popular with photographers. Many of the postcard images of Taipei 101 and Taipei sunsets were taken from here.
