Cyclists on Ren'ai Road during Car Free Day in Taipei 2006
This section includes information about cycling in Taiwan. The mountains of Taiwan have some great mountain biking trails and there is an expanding network of bicycle paths being built around the island.
Taiwan is one of the world's leading bicycle manufacturers. The Taipei Cycle Show held annually in March is one of the biggest bike industry trade shows in the world. The Tour de Taiwan, an international cycling stage race, is also held in March each year.
There is a list of Merida dealers in Taiwan on the Merida website at http://www.merida.tw/shop.asp. It is all in Chinese. There are about 30 shops listed for Taipei City and County. Just selecting one from the list here are the details.

merida mountain bike
Submitted by red dwarf (not verified) on Sun, 2008-08-24 12:34.Does anyone know if it's possible to purchase a Merida mtb direct from the factory in Yuanlin? Or alternatively are their any official Merida bikes shops in Taipei? I've tried to contact Merida through there listed email address on their website but I can't get a sucessful
reply. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated as I'm planning to visit Taiwan in September 2008.
