Studying Mandarin Chines in Taipei Taiwan
Hi, I got a scholarship of about 800US$ to come study Chinese in Taiwan. I would need a small short-term apartment. I have no idea how much it would cost to rent an apartment in Taiwan and if short-term is possible. Would 800US$ be enough? how do I find short-term apartments?

How long do you plan to stay in Taiwan? US$800 would probably be enough for a month if you keep to a budget.
For a short stay you might be best to start of in a hostel. Look at the budget accommodation section of Taiwanderful for more information. Also have a look at the classified ads on tealit.com and taiwanted.com.
