I'm writing you because you might be able to help me in something -
I'm looking for a university that teaches classical Chinese, because this is the field I want to master in. This means the studies should be intensive.
I don't really care if it's in China or in Taiwan, but I do know that I prefer these lessons to be in English (hoping that next to those lessons, there will be Chinese classes as well).
Do you know anything of this kind?
I'd like to go there next year, so I could really use any kind of useful information.
Classical Chinese programs in East Asia

I’m sorry, but I’m not sure I can help you with that. You won’t be able to find this kind of program in English in Taiwan, and probably not in China either. If you insist on China, you should probably look into HK (maybe HKU) and Singapore (maybe NUS). Most who are looking for what you’re interested in actually go to the UK (SOAS is absolutely fantastic) and the obvious places in the US.
With that said, since you are looking to study “classical Chinese” and you’re an East-Asia department graduate I can perhaps recommend you come to either China or Taiwan for a year of intense Chinese studies (apply for your scholarship ASAP) and after a year start your classical Chinese masters studies in Chinese. It might not be easy at first, but it will be a lot easier for you in ~2 years when you’re doing your classical Chinese thesis and it would help your Chinese in ways you didn’t think possible.
