I would like to know what is the best time of the year to visit Taiwan? What are some hotels I could stay at with pretty good rates and comfort?

The best time to visit is now! Actually the weather in October and November is usually pretty good. The temperatures have dropped from the summer extremes, but it's not cold.
The weather also varies around Taiwan. Winter is nice in the south, but not a great time to visit the north were it is colder and rains more.
As for hotels in most cities and towns you can find a basic but clean hotel room for NT$7-800. Expect to pay a little more in Taipei and some popular tourist spots. I can't really make any specific recommendations unless I know where you want to go and your budget.

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 2009-10-27 20:39.Better to visit in between August to October but throughout the year some occasions keep on going in Taiwan. So, you can also visit in December, if you like to enjoy movies.
