A few questions
Hi all, appreciate some enlightening on my question. :P
1) Does the Hi-speed train stops at the Taichung Railway Station, the one near mcdonald?
2) How do I reach to the Bookstreet?
3) To buy the train tickets (Railway and Hi-speed), can I just buy the tickets a few minutes before the train depart, or I have to buy in advance?

The High Speed Rail Station
The High Speed Rail Station in Taichung is located at Wuri. It is not in the centre of the city. There is a railway station nearby (Wuri station) if you want to transfer to a train to get to some local destination.
You can buy tickets for both Taiwan Railways and HSR a few minutes prior to departure. However, at peak times you are unlikely to get a seat. The Taiwan Railways will sell you a standing ticket, but you must have a reserved seat to travel on the HSR.
I am not sure about Bookstreet. Is it in Taichung?

Hi, thanks for the fast reply. :) Looks like I can't take the hi-speed train to go Taichung. I probably wouldn't be able to make it to Taichung at 8.00am for the sml tour.
I finally found out that the book street is actually Chongqing Road. Since there are lots of book stores, some people calls it the bookstore street.
