Backpacking in Taiwan - budget, individual

How r u doing ?
In 2 month ill b heading to Kunming China to study for a few month. I have a
few free weeks to spent traveling around, and since my flight in through Bangkok
and i've already traveled in China (Ans will travel again...) i thaught of
backpng for 3-4 weeks in Taiwan.
It's possible/reasonable to backpack in Taiwan ? i mean, indivduale travelling,
budget accomandation etc...
Is it a reasonable time (3-4 weeks in November) ?
Ill appreciate a few tips...
